CommitteesHomeowners Association Committee News
Newsletter Committee:The latest NEWSLETTER for November 2007 for our community is now online (and distributed to members homes on November 14th).
Neighborhood Watch:The Talaverde HOA is trying to establish a Neighborhood Watch for our community. It is the number one crime fighting tool as recognized by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. This may be a great way for residents to get to know each other as well as add a deterrent to crime in our neighborhood. Refer to the Las Vegas Metro's Neighborhood Watch page for more information. Also, please refer to our November 2007 NEWSLETTER for details on crime committed in the Vistas area for a two month time span. The newsletter also provides details on how you can show interest in this program for our community.
Landscape Committee (Update from the October 2006 Newsletter):The Landscape Committee (chairman Neil Velsor) is proud to announce that they have designed an updated layout for Talaverde's front entry area. They named this "The Talaverde Beautification Project." This new design was recently approved by the Board of Directors. VIEW THE LANDSCAPE BEAUTIFICATION DESIGN This design will add fullness to the plants already in place, and will also add more color to create a majestic entrance area that all of the residents of Talaverde will be proud to call their home. With this thought: that our homes are seated within the natural beauty of the Red Rock Mountains - a mountain range known for its colorful splendor - your Landscape Committee had devoted extensive time to create an entryway filled with plants that have the ability to withstand the hot summer weather, as well as the cold winter chill. The fall portion of the project should get underway within the next month. The Landscape Committee is also proud to announce that they are signing a new landscape company to not only continue to manicure the park and entrance area, but also to undertake the planting of our updated landscape design. Our new company had an extensive reputation in the area for its private community work, as well as their maintenance work in the business community.
ARC Committee:Please remember that all ARC requests must be submitted prior to the start of any landscaping work!
